Sea-Cargo, 9th January 2008

We are delighted to announce that as from 9th January 2008 Sea-Cargo services to/from Esbjerg have undergone even further improved services to its customers.

As from 9th January our vessel MV Lygra has been replaced by MV Amber, which will continue to operate two sailings per week as per our previous schedules.

With the introduction of MV Amber we can now offer:

  • 68% increase in trailer capacity
  • Dedicated accommodation for up to 12 drivers.
  • 18% increase in vessel speed / transit times

The introduction of this new vessel further demonstrates Sea-Cargo’s commitment to this new route and these changes have been made directly in line with popular customer demand

By offering sailing via Esbjerg the Sea Cargo system for Denmark also harmonises with the European communities underlying environmental and reduced CO2 emmisions  strategies of reducing the number of trucks on the roads, saving as much as three hours each way for each truck when compared with the more tradition ferry connections between Norway and Denmark.
