Sea-Cargo, 5th November 2008

Sea-Cargo is proud to present a major system upgrade as from 01 February 2009

  • New twice weekly service between Esbjerg and Amsterdam (and visa versa).
  • Considerable increase in capacity to/from Amsterdam and the WC of Norway.
  • Improved sailing times to/from WC Norway from Amsterdam and Esbjerg.

This improvement is possible due to a major tonnage upgrade, which include;
• Introduction of a new large RORO vessel with a capacity of 140 trailer units.
• A considerable upgrade/lengthening of Trans Carrier, taking her capacity to > 100 trailers.

The new large RORO vessel will enter service on 1 February 2009. Sea-Cargo will with this move introduce a completely new concept, with size, capacity and speed being considerable larger than existing vessels – by this practically redesigning our existing service pattern.
The new large RORO vessel is consider an excellent vessel for the trade with an outstanding performance record. Vessel details can be found here.

The other vessel on this route (WC Norway-Amsterdam), mv Trans Carrier, will during December be lengthened by 20 meters – increasing her capacity to more than 100 trailers.
The new large RORO vessel and Trans Carrier will be operated in a revised service scheme to/from WC Norway, Amsterdam and Esbjerg - providing a fast and reliable service both north and south bound.

Complete and full description for the new trade can be found here
