Sea-Cargo AS and Nor-Cargo Ltd has in a deal signed on 21.12.2007 come to an agreement were all activities of Nor-Cargo Ltd in Aberdeen (Matthews Quay) are transferred to a newly established company, Sea-Cargo Aberdeen Ltd. The new company is a fully owned subsidiary of Sea-Cargo AS, Norway.
Sea-Cargo Aberdeen Ltd will be operational as from 01.01.2008.
The Owners of Nor-Cargo Ltd (DSD and Hurtigruten Group) also holds a considerable position in Sea-Cargo AS (through Nor Lines AS) and the transaction is as such more of structural form, were Aberdeen is included to the Sea-Cargo Agency hub structure. The Sea-Cargo Agency structure now includes:
Sea-Cargo Agencies Bergen
Sea-Cargo Agencies Stavanger
Sea-Cargo Agencies Esbjerg
Sea-Cargo Agencies Amsterdam
Sea-Cargo Agencies Immingham
And finally as from 01.01.2008:

The transfer of activities from Nor-Cargo Ltd to Sea-Cargo Aberdeen Ltd will not have any operational or commercial consequences. The Aberdeen office, and all its services (incl. terminal and stevedoring operations), will run uninterrupted and it is business as usual from day one, Tuesday 01.01.2008. Ian Shewan will continue his role and General Manager, and all phone and fax numbers remain unchanged.
